As she turned the corner onto her street, her eyes landed on a familiar figure standing outside her apartment building. It was Max, her neighbor and the object of her desire. He was leaning against the wall, his arms crossed and a hint of a smile on his face.
Lena's heart skipped a beat as she approached him. She had been drawn to Max since the day she moved in, but their friendship had been stuck in a rut. That was, until last week's unexpected kiss.
