It’s one of several community tools that attempt to remove SIM/network locks from Huawei USB modems/dongles and some Huawei portable Wi‑Fi (MiFi) devices by sending unlock commands or changing modem configuration. Versions later than 5.7.7 (5.7.8, 5.8.x) and repackaged builds from different uploaders also circulate.
